Eleftherios (Lefteri) Tsaklis - Violin

Lefteri began to study classical violin at the age of eight at the Irving Parsons Violin School in San Francisco. His association with the school continued through his college years. During these early years Lefteri played in the San Francisco Youth Symphony Orchestra and with the Beethoven Trio. His interest in Greek folk music began in the mid 1960's when he joined the Hellenic Folk Ensemble under the direction of John Pappas. He soon thereafter joined the Meraklides Greek band where he continued to play until 1974.
